アート・文化・コミュニティの力で、能登を再生する
かつて能登は、日本でも有数の豊かな地域でした。 職人技、豊かな自然、深い文化に根ざした、活気ある港町として知られていました。
しかし今、多くの村が静かに消えつつあります。 人口減少、高齢化、経済の衰退、そして最近では壊滅的な地震によって、土地にも人々の心にも深い傷が残されています。
アートに、その傷を癒す力があるとしたら？
創造性が、誇りと人と豊かさをこの地に取り戻す鍵になるとしたら？
Revitalizing Noto through Art, Culture, andCommunity
Noto was once one of Japan’s wealthiest regions.
A vibrant port known for its craftsmanship, naturalbeauty, and deep cultural roots.
But today, many of its villages are fading.
Depopulation, aging communities, economic decline, andmost recently, a devastating earthquake, have left scarson the land and its people.
What if art could help heal that?
What if creativity could bring pride, people, and prosperity back to these places?

かつて廃校だった場所が、アーティストを中心とした村として生まれ変わると想像してみてください。

The Vision: A Living Art Village

能登アート・ビレッジの4つの循環
アート（Art）
アーティストが能登に住み、自然や素材、伝統に触れながら創作します。
売上（Sell）
作品は展示会やイベントを通じて販売され、アーティストと地域に収入をもたらします。
支援（Support）
売上の一部は、住宅支援、家族ケア、災害復興など、地域のニーズを支える資金になります。
地域（Community）
地元のNPOや住民が実際の支援を届けます。
その結果、村は創造、観光、希望の拠点として生まれ変わります。
A Self-Sustaining Circle of Impact
At the heart of this project is a living, giving ecosystem, where art fuels community, and community fuels renewal.
The 4 Circles of the Noto Art Village
Art（アート）
Artists live and create in the village, inspired by Noto’s nature, materials, and traditions.
Sell（売上）
Works are sold through exhibitions and events, generating income for artists and the village.
Support（支援）
Part of each sale supports local needs. Housing, family care, and disaster recovery.
Community（地域）
Local NPOs and residents help deliver impact. In return, the village becomes a home for creativity, tourism, and hope.
輪島塗 - 消滅の危機にある宝
能登で最も神聖な伝統のひとつが、輪島塗です。
ひとつの作品を完成させるのに、木地師、塗師、研ぎ師など124人もの職人が必要とされる、極めて繊細で複雑な技です。
しかし今、この産業は大きな危機に瀕しています。

多くの職人が60歳以

2024年の能登半島地震で工房が被災

ひとつの工程が失われるだけで、伝統全体が途絶える可能性もあります
失われるのは「産業」だけではありません。 日本の生きた文化そのものが、消えてしまうかもしれないのです。
私たちのプロジェクトは、こうした伝統を「展示」
ではなく、 使い、進化させ、生きたまま次世代へ継承する
ことで守ります。
Wajima-nuri: A Treasure at Risk
One of Noto’s most sacred traditions is Wajima-nuri lacquerware, a craft requiring 124 artisans for a single piece. Woodshapers, polishers, lacquer masters, and more.
But the industry is at risk:

Many artisans are over 60
-
Workshops were damaged in the 2024 earthquake
-
If even one role disappears, the whole tradition could vanish
We risk losing not just an industry, but a living piece of Japan’s cultural identity.
Our project protects these crafts not in a museum but through use, evolution, and living transmission.
